TEA PARTY CAT

Man, it's been a while, hasn't it?  Here's a sneak peek from my latest collection of cats:  "Tea Party Cat in a Karen Walker Dress".  A whimsical cross between fashion illustration and something out of a wild children's story.  See more of her in the Print Shop and her full collection in the Paper & Home Shop. 

I'm working on a few branding and marketing things at the moment, and one of them is the re-vamp of the Rive Gauche Craft blog.  Exciting?  Yes!

I've been working on these gals, painted in watercolor, over the past week in preparation for a December-long exhibit at the Anastasia & Friends Gallery.  Exciting!

Please forgive me for shamelessly styling an interior design inspiration board around one of my own paintings?  Oh, how I wish this were my living room...
 

I love how cheery and quirky this look becomes when paired with rich teals, velvet, and shiny lacquered sky blue items.  It's sort of romantic and fresh at the same time - the combination of Modern, Art Nouveau, and Art Deco elements.  And how wonderful is that seriously luxe velvety 5 seater sofa?!
